Greetings Teacher and Teaching Assistant Leaders,
On November 27, 2018 from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. the Suffolk Regional Office in Hauppauge will be hosting an important and valuable presentation on the Teachers Retirement System.
This program is intended for any and all members of the New York State Teachers Retirement System – Teachers and Teaching Assistants.
The presenter is NYSTRS Board Trustee, and President of the William Floyd United Teachers, Ron Gross.
This presentation will provide an overview of the New York State Teacher's Retirement System, including some of the relevant options and pension calculations. We will also focus on the value of pensions in the national economy so members are properly prepared to address people who are critical of this valuable benefit.
