In the true spirit of the season, I wanted to take the time to wish all our members peace and joy. As December winds down, Hanukkah celebrations have just concluded but I know there are others still looking forward to Christmas, Holiday recess, and the New Year. As we celebrate in our different ways, we can all be thankful for the solidarity that gives us strength to fight for what is right. One of the real joys this holiday season is the opportunity to say thank you for all of the work that you do both in the classroom and in constant support of the WITA. I want to thank you for being part of our union, I don't take your membership for granted. Together, we all as the union make life better here in the West Islip School District. This time of year also brings out the best in people as they exchange gifts. I want to wish you the gifts of love, friendship and good health. May hope and happiness be yours during this time of the year and carry on into 2019. In the New Year, I encourage you to continue to look for ways you can get more involved.
Season's greetings and all the best for the New Year.
