The NYSTRS Pension and Retirement Education Program (PREP) is a seminar in retirement planning that can help a member of any age. The topics covered are: NYSTRS benefits; financial planning; social security; estate planning; retirement-a new beginning; filing for retirement; and the retirement process. There are two seminars this fall at the Radisson Hotel in Hauppauge at 110 Vanderbilt Motor Pkwy. The first seminar is on Thursday November 7th and the second seminar is on Thursday December 19th. You, as a NYSTRS member can also schedule a one-on-one consultation with a representative. This will enable you to ask questions about your specific situation and you can receive printed estimates of your retirement benefits.
