We are writing to share the information that was provided to us late this afternoon.
Pursuant to the Executive Order issued by Governor Cuomo extending the school closure until April 15, 2020, and a directive from the New York State Education Department, we must continue to work and provide instruction during this closure. As such, we expect the district to postpone the spring break that was scheduled for next week. Instead, we will continue to provide distance learning, childcare, and meals to our students. Failure to provide for all three will likely result in a loss of state aid.

We will, on behalf of our members, continue to work closely with the district administration to tackle the issues of this difficult time.
