I hope that this email finds everyone doing well and I hope that everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving. I would like to take a minute to thank all of our members who helped out during the election. Thanks to your help and the help of our brothers and sisters in NYSUT from across Long Island, we defeated a number of anti-teacher candidates in the State Senate. These Senators were holding up important legislation that would have decoupled student test scores from teacher evaluations. Click here to see photos from the phone bank.
