As the 2020-2021 school year comes to an end, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all the hard work, sacrifice, and dedication that you have shown through what has been an unpredictable year. When we returned to the classroom in September, there were many questions about how this school year would take shape. Together, we showed creativity, resilience, and professionalism as we overcame new challenges daily, learned to use new technologies, and in turn taught our students how to use them. We helped each other create new resources and develop new methods to maintain the high standards we have always had in West Islip. Your accomplishments throughout this year are a testament to the integrity and professionalism for which West Islip Teachers are known. We have always been what makes the West Islip School District work, and we made it work under unimaginable circumstances. We turned this year into a positive and rewarding experience for the students as we moved toward a more normal classroom environment. We hope you find a sense of satisfaction and fulfillment as you look back on these accomplishments. Please enjoy a restful and relaxing summer with your loved ones; it is well deserved.
