In August, NYSUT launched its Common Ground Over Chaos campaign, seeking a return to a political climate where healthy debate and compromise are possible. NYSUT also released a list of endorsed local candidates from both political parties who prioritize public education and support policies that benefit public schools.
WITA will host a Phone Bank for state candidates on Tuesday, October 22nd, from 3 pm to 6 pm at the NYSUT Suffolk Regional Office on the third floor at 100 Motor Parkway, Suite 320, Hauppauge, NY 11788.
This phone bank is important for reaching out to other NYSUT members like you to promote candidates for New York State offices that support public educators and public education. Your work will help ensure that the united voice of NYSUT teachers is heard in the New York State Assembly, Senate, and US House of Representatives. Please join us in supporting the endorsed candidates for these local offices, which can directly impact teachers and education.
